The Ram cross country team ended its 2019 season at state qualifying meets Thursday. The boys ran at Atlantic while the girls ran at Panora. Both the boys and girls placed 11th of 13 teams. No Rams qualified individually for the state meet.
“Of course we were hoping for a better result, but I’m proud of the effort” said coach Jeff Lamoureux. “A couple of the boys were running with some nagging injuries that slowed them down.”
He commended the seniors and looks forward to the 2020 season. “I appreciate the effort by our seniors and they will be missed. The boys will be returning top 10 runners and a good core of the girls team will return, so I’m excited about the potential for a good season next year.”
